Commission B Tries to Ride MRT Train

Today, Jakarta Council (DPRD) Commission B tests Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) train operation. This testing was done from Bundaran HI to Lebak Bulus with distance 16 kilometers for about 30 minutes.

"We are proud to have a classy mass transport such as MRT," expressed Commission B Chairman, Abdurrahman Suhaimi, Wednesday (2/6).

He hopes MRT officers can educate residents when MRT has been opened for public. According to him, education is essential because MRT operation system is automatic.

"People need to be educated before boarding the train," he said.

PT. MRT Jakarta Financial Director, Tuhiyat conveyed, MRT is planned to start operating commercially on March 24-31, 2019. But before the date, residents are invited to participate in this testing until end of this month.

"Its construction has reached 98 percent. It just needs some finishing," he mentioned.
